Exposing The Sick Body

Share

In my last article entitled Beautiful Body and Dirty Mind I started discussing seven (7) Key Points as to how sicknesses and diseases enter the human body.  #1 in that list was Careless Living. If you have not already read that article, I urge you to do so before continuing with this one.  Let us now further examine other sources of sicknesses and diseases.

#2. Punishment of Iniquity
Many times, we suffer consequences as a result of our actions; or should I say that we experience reactions as a result of our actions. Isaac Newton’s third law of motion, in classical mechanics, states that forces always occur in pairs. Every action is accompanied by a reaction of equal magnitude but opposite direction.

“Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.” [James 4:17]

Now, what is iniquity? First, iniquity is a form of sin, but more than just ordinary sin. It is a sinful act that you know is wrong but you still go ahead and perform it. In its simplest form, prayerlessness is a sin but not an iniquity.

The Oxford English Dictionary tells us that sin is “wrongful or injurious actions towards another; infliction of wrong; injury.” To practice iniquity is to be unjust and unequal in our dealings with others. Another dictionary defines it as “gross immorality or injustice; wickedness.” When a man bows down to worship idols, especially when he knows that God is against such an act, that is not just sinful, it is wickedness – an act of provocation.

“You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;” [Exodus 20:5]

There it is! Iniquity is an exercise of hatred towards God and all that is His.”

For the sake of space, I will highlight just a few examples of iniquity, which I will encourage you to study and get a clear understanding of so as to see how this point affects you as a person.
1. Idolatrous worship – Exodus 20:5
2. Adulterous relationship and the law of jealousies – Numbers 5:12-31
3. Flagrant disobedience to the orders of God – Joshua 22:20
4. Deceitfulness of sin – 2 Kings 5:27
5. Direct challenge to the laws of God – 1 Samuel 2:22

Iniquity invokes punishment through sicknesses, diseases and death. It leads to the destruction of the body.

“But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and struck them with tumours, even Ashdod and the territory thereof.” [1 Samuel 5:6]

In essence, because these Philistines tried to defile the ark of God, they were severely punished with cancer.

#3 Trial by Faith
When man fell in the Garden of Eden, it started a deterioration of his soul and body, which became laden with sin; but then it was because of the conscious choice he made when he rejected God.

However, God did not give up and has, ever since, been wooing man to come back and take the life he threw away – a life that far transcends what we have today.

For a man to be qualified to walk with God, he must let go of the burden and desire of sin. This process of letting go of sin is often seen as a trial of faith; It digs deep into the soul and brings out the truth of the Soul. It exposes the dirt, decay and corruption hiding in the soul. If left untouched, it will eventually steal life from the body through sicknesses and diseases and ultimately kill and destroy it.

We see the case of oblivious Job. The devil arrested his body and the poor man lived with the pain of a decaying body.

“So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot unto the crown of his head.” [Job 2:7]

Many people are suffering in their bodies as a result of the trial of faith. This suffering will achieve one of two things in them. They would either be driven to seek a closer walk with God or be driven far away from Him.

When they are driven to get closer to God, they will experience purging because they are exposed to a greater dimension of God. It causes them to exclaim, like Job, “I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear: but now my eye sees you. Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.” [Job 42:5-6]

A similar experience will cause some others to become so offended that they would seek solace in the arms of Satan. We find this with king Saul.

“Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that is a medium at Endor.” [1 Samuel 28:7]

“And he said unto him, Thus says the LORD, Since you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron, is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word? Therefore you shall not come down off that bed on which you are gone up, but shall surely die.” [2 Kings 1:16]

#4. Covenants
Just as there are physical laws implemented by the secular government that govern our way of life, there are spiritual laws that govern the spiritual world and this affects all of us.

Signing the Contract

Signing the Contract

Ever heard of someone “selling his soul to the devil”? This is done through covenants.

Covenants are agreements made by two parties and these are usually sealed by blood. As you know, it is a living being that can make agreements and the life of that being is in his blood. It is wrong to think that without the shedding of blood there is no covenant. The physical shedding of blood is just like a seal in a covenant.

The moment this is done, spiritual forces are empowered, through the words of the covenant, to enforce the terms of the agreement. These spirits are usually unstoppable!

“And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.” [Leviticus 26:25]

Should the person who has entered into the covenant try to extricate himself without fulfilling the terms of the agreement, these spirits can become nasty and violent and can even kill or destroy. They were perfectly described by Jesus as the ones who steal, kill and destroy.

“Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves.” [Isaiah 28:15]

Marriages, friendships, sacrifices, rituals and such are all types of covenants. When these covenants are made, they can generate either curses or blessings. If the terms of the covenant are kept the agreed blessing will take place but if it is denied the curses will manifest.

“As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.” [Proverbs 26:2]

Curses will not work without the violation of an act. When someone violates the covenant, spiritual powers, which were present when the covenant was made, would seek to enforce the terms of the agreement regardless of the geographical location of the person or his or her achievements.”

Curses come as a result of overstepping or violating a jurisdiction; it is a way of superimposing the supernatural over the natural and the same can be said of blessings. So, a person can get sick or have a disease as a result of curses.

So some people are suffering diseases in their bodies as a result of the curses suffered by their ancestors who have covenanted with devils. Note: I will revisit this topic again in the next article.

#5. Ancestral Spirits

Cancer Patient

When there is a particular trait common to a family line, tribe, community, or even nation, then ancestral spirits are in operation. These spirits are quite familiar with the disposition of the person or group of people with which they are associated. These spirits enforce covenants, curses, and decisions that directly or indirectly affect our lives.

An African traditional healer, Mrs Olly Masuku, recently revealed, “Even if the individual is a worshipper going to church, ancestral spirits will still pursue him.”

She continues, “An ancestral spirit is the one that pursues a person; the person has no power to pursue the spirit. Many people who are troubled by ancestral spirits are those who usually try to shy away from them. You can never run away from izinyoka (snakes) or ancestral spirits no matter what circumstances you are under.”

The devil deceives a family member, usually the head of a family, into servitude and with that gains access into all the lives of that family to pollute all of them. This is usually done through the promise to fulfil a desperate need the person might have. It could be money, fame, power, success, affection, etc.

As the need of the person is satisfied, the devil gains access to the soul of the person and takes control by having an evil spirit take hold of the soul. Jesus calls this evil spirit a strong man.

“Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.” [Matthew 12:29]

Usually, the family members will have a common trait or condition such as heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, a syndrome, a phobia, infidelity, marital breakdown, etc. which is representative of the presence of the devils.

#6. Invocations of Spirits
This point is very important, but it is often overlooked, yet very easy to fall prey to. Quite often people look at magicians, sorcerers, necromancers, witches, warlocks, Satanists, etc. and accept their tricks and rituals as innocent fun, not realizing that through these very tricks and rituals these people have special ways to invoke spirits.

Remember that because these evil spirits do not have a continuous inflow of the life of God, they have ailments and these ailments are sicknesses and diseases. So, wherever they are found, their presence is marked by these ailments. Some of them are blind, some are deaf, some have curvatures, some are plagued with tinnitus, some others with haemorrhages and so on. These spirits when they enter a body can cause untold damage.

“And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?” [Luke 13:16]

For believers, there is a way the enemy uses these things to plague them. It is through the things that defile, the works of the flesh, the carnal nature. Such things as hatred, anger, evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness (Mark 7:21-22), these things invoke spirits as well. How do we know this?

“Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.” [1 John 3:15]

Now, it is impossible to murder without shedding blood or causing life in blood to cease. The soul of the murderer is usually pressured into committing heinous acts. Once this happens, more spirits are quickly drawn to the environment.

Another overlooked, but serious manner, in which spirits are invoked is the experience of trauma. Trauma leaves a person open and completely vulnerable to spirits, especially if it is not dealt with quickly; depression, physical ailments, and mental illness can be suffered as a result of trauma. The real truth behind all these is that a person’s soul had been damaged and the effect can be felt by the body through the weakening of the immune system!

Let me cite an example. The exercise of hatred can easily invoke the spirit of murder (1 John 3:15). While murder is the ultimate of death, not everyone with hatred commits murder. So, the place where hatred inhabits is filled with cruelty and it eats into the body of the man opening the door to illnesses and diseases to invade and cause damage to the body.

#7. Manifestation of God’s Glory
It is possible that none of the above points is applicable to you, which is possible, but with a careful examination, you may fall into this category. There are people who are faced with difficult situations and circumstances; in this case, sickly or disabled bodies.  These people are usually known to many, usually unbelievers. In some cases, people who struggle to believe in God or have caked (repressible) beliefs, to them He’s just like a phantom or a fantasy.

“And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man who was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Teacher, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” [John 9:1-3]

I will not be writing much about this because you can only come to the conclusion that this is the case after all the other six points have been eliminated. This simply means the solution is straightforward – only God’s direct intervention can bring healing to such a person.

I have tried to condense this information so that you can take stock and probe where the source of your health issues lies.

Brother John

My name is simply Brother John. Saved and delivered by Jesus Christ just before my 16th birthday, nothing better could have happened to me in my entire life! Read a little more about my encounter with Christ here: Satan Taught Me... https://brotherjohn.org/satan-taught-me-jesus-mastered-me/ .... When I see that something has blessed me in one way or the other, then I want everybody to hear it and get blessed as much, if not much more. I worship with other believers at the The Platts Road Fellowship. In the truest sense of it, BrotherJohn.org is now more than the personal blog of the person who started it, it has evolved into a TEAM of some world-wide believers, who prefer to remain anonymous. This blog has one purpose: give you practical steps in walking with God. The steps can be found in the fresh Letters From God.
