Expelling Sicknesses & Diseases: Physician, Heal Thyself?

It is not uncommon to find certain areas of life totally unpleasant, bitter, and painful. While, I won’t try to wander around generalities, I will be specific with respect to bodily healing and health.

Just this week, I heard from the news that Steve Jobs (founder of Apple Computers) died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 56. It was something that started around 2004, shortly after this genius started achieving some considerable success in his life. Now, at the peak of his life, cancer took him. Obviously, he would have had the best doctors tending to him because he had billions of money to spend, but they couldn’t Such cases are hard to swallow.

This letter from the Father today, is for the consideration of small cases such as headaches to high level issues such as cancer, HIV, diabetes, even disabilities beyond medicine.

If you have not read the previous parts in this Series, please do so before continuing as I will be discussing some things without defining them in detail because I have treated them as such in the previous articles.

Jesus said, “….You will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal yourself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in your country.” [Luke 4:23] Well, I am here to declare to you that the Physician is more than willing to heal His Body (the Church).

We can clearly see (from the previous articles), that God never intended for man to be sick in his body, but the lack of His Presence brought sickness and disease. Yet, He did not give up and He came back and said these words.

Prior to this, we see God saying, “…. If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD your God, and will do that which is right in his sight, and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that heals you.” [Exodus 15:26]

I will show you that God can reverse a decaying body! You will see how He cures it! You will discover how He repairs dead cells!

Why Do Godly People Fall Sick?

The question arises, “Then why do Godly people fall sick and die?”

That question is broad and one reply will not justify a good answer. I have shown to us the different ways in which sicknesses and diseases enter into the body. The understanding that God is forever a good God covers any explanation that anyone could ever supply as to why one event falls to one and it doesn’t befall another. Once we come to the knowledge and understanding that “ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE GOD AND THE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE” then, no better explanation is there to give. But there is ONE Person who actually heals all sicknesses and diseases. God is His Name.

Let us take advantage of Strong’s Concordance, Exodus 15:26. That root word râphâh is defined as properly to mend (by stitching), that is, (figuratively) to cure: – cure, (cause to) heal, physician, repair, X thoroughly, make whole.

So, it says, “For I am Jehovah that rapha you.” Or better still, “For I am the Self-existent or Eternal One who cures, repairs and thoroughly makes you whole.”

When we begin to assimilate this truth into the depth of the soul and see it the way the Eternal One sees it, half the job of healing, curing, repairing or making whole is done. He does this through His Son, it is He who would absorb the toxins of sicknesses and diseases from Man. That is God’s way of healing.

Did you notice that He was not choosy about which sickness or disease can be healed? He did not say one was too difficult. In fact, Jesus said, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” [Luke 1:37]

I won’t go into the depth of this, but I will show you something from what we observe in our modern world.

Cancer is said to thrive in the absence of oxygen and even sugar aids this, but when cancer is exposed to oxygen cancer loses its grip. In fact, in a newsletter published by John Hopkins University, it states that “sugar is a cancer feeder. By cutting off sugar, it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc. are made from aspartame and it is harmful.”

It states further, “Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.”

Cancer cells are cells within the body that have been denatured and instead of dying and getting replaced, they turn against other cells around them and begin to cause damage by making other neighbouring cells to join their cause. They become strangers to the body from where they were generated!

The presence of God’s touch in Man changes the situation, too. That is why He says, “For I am the Self-existent or Eternal One who cures, repairs and thoroughly makes you whole.”

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” [Acts 10:38]

Therefore, we read this statement: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” [Isaiah 53:5]

So, what is the other half?

The Other Half….

Again, that promise happened this way: After Christ went back to heaven, we read this: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” [1 Peter 2:24]

It is through those stripes that the toxins and pains in your sicknesses, illnesses and diseases can be easily extracted by God Himself. This is His way of healing you. Denatured cells are cured, death is reversed, life is injected!

Just as it was in the beginning when “…. the LORD God …. breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” [Genesis 2:7]

What is YOUR own duty in this injection of life or the curing of diseases? The other half is your own duty in all these, and He has even gone further to help you.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” [Deuteronomy 30:19] It is a wake up call from God to Man.

You need to make a choice. A choice to live; God will not force a decision on you; if you say you want Him to heal you, you should make that decision. All you need to do is ask Him. How do you do the asking?

The Great Physician is Available: Time To Get Healed!

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” [Proverbs 18:21] and He continued, “Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. [Joel 3:10]

And what is His response to what you say?

“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:” [Numbers 14:28]

“I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, says the LORD; and I will heal him.” [Isaiah 57:19]

What Are You Saying?

So what are you saying? When you are experiencing bodily health issues (again I have dealt on how this may have started in previous articles) what do you say?

God even made a further help available for us, to extend our faith in being able to receive His blessings, through the blood that came from the broken body of Jesus Christ.

“And he said, What have you done? the voice of your brother’s blood cries unto me from the ground. [Genesis 4:10] The blood of Abel spoke. Even after his death, it cried for justice.

Hence, the Blood of Jesus Christ would speak on your behalf, “And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.” [Hebrews 12:24]

Even when the source of your sicknesses or diseases are through sources you are totally innocent of, the Blood will fight on your behalf. But, you must know and apply this.

In Egypt, God told Moses, “And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, in which they shall eat it.” [Exodus 12:7]

“And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.” [Exodus 12:13]

It was the people’s duty to apply the blood for their own good. Again, they had a choice just as God reminded them in Deuteronomy 30:19.

So, what are you saying? “Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me. Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places. ” [2 Samuel 22:45-46 KJV]

Jesus “cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.” Decaying cells, rotten flesh, lifeless body of Lazarus heard the voice, “And he that was dead came forth….” The strangers in Lazarus’ body heard the voice and surrendered and faded away!

The Three Witnesses and You

The Blood gets effective in your body because it is a witness.

“And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” [1 John 5:8]

The Spirit is the dynamic (dunamis – miraculous) power of God. The Spirit of God started the work of Creation: “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said….” [Genesis 1:2-3]

The Ruach, the source of Man’s life, “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” [Genesis 2:7] This ruach was by the Spirit of God.

So, we see that the Spirit is a witness in the earth. When we have a witness in a court case, it makes a huge difference.

The witness of the Spirit can only take place as a result of the agreement of the other two key witnesses – the Word and the Blood.

The Word makes a statement of witness through the illumination of God, and it is even described as “living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” [Hebrews 4:12]

Now, when these three witnesses stand on your behalf, all cases against you will fail. But, how can the witness statement stand up for you when your own words stand against you?

“For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.” [Matthew 12:37]

This was why God said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: because you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.” [Hosea 4:6]

The words you will speak comes from the Three Witnesses! If you don’t know, you need to seek from the Bible and know. That knowledge will give you strength over the sickness or disease. “A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increases strength.” [Proverbs 24:5]

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he said.” [Mark 11:23]

So when your words agree with the three witnesses, you can overcome any sickness, disease and even the devil. In fact, you can overcome death!

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.” [Revelation 12:11]

The power of the Holy Spirit can enter your bones, down into your marrow and apply the healing Balm of Gilead to heal you from the core of your system.

The power of God entered into the tomb of Lazarus and raised a man who had been dead for four days!

What is your choice? What are you saying? Do you believe the Great Physician is able to heal His own? He reversed the decaying flesh of Lazarus! He cured it! He repaired dead cells! Don’t let anyone fool you, God can do ANYTHING!

Abounding Grace?

Lastly, Paul asked, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” [Romans 6:1-2]. Remember, “….If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD your God, and will do that which is right in his sight, and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that heals you.” [Exodus 15:26]

Are you “diligently hearkening to the voice of the LORD” by making lifestyle changes? As a smoker developing cancer symptoms, do you insist on the habit? As an obese person, do you insist on being loose with your eating?

You cannot continue to encourage the symptoms of sicknesses and diseases in your body and expect the Lord to heal. You must begin to “do that which is right in his sight”. “Give ear to his commandments.” Say what HE says, see what HE sees. What is He saying? “Let the weak say I am strong”. What is He seeing? He is seeing a strong person not a weakling.

The witnesses before the Judge of all the Earth have spoken, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” [Isaiah 55:11]. It is theoretically and practically impossible for God to lie!

Can Jesus not heal His Body? Yes He can! He needs YOUR cooperation to expel sicknesses and diseases. What is God saying to you again? What are you saying to the strangers in your body? Are you encouraging, feeding and nursing them? Are you rebuking, crying against and rejecting their presence? Remember that “strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.”

The strangers have to hear something, they have to be told what to do, where to go – Jesus spoke to the dead cells in Lazarus’ body and what happened?

“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:” [Numbers 14:28]
